NFF at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw: Advancing the Three Seas Industrial Partnership Agenda

New Frontier Foundation (NFF) President Natko Vlahovic participated today in a high-level meeting at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw focused on strengthening the business and industrial dimension of the Three Seas Initiative and bringing the region’s economic perspective to the G20.

The meeting, “Poland: The Strength of the Three Seas in the G20,” brought together President Karol Nawrocki with Polish and international business leaders from across the Three Seas region.

President Nawrocki delivered the keynote address, outlining Poland’s ambition to use its participation in the G20 to give greater international visibility to the economic interests and potential of the broader Three Seas region. The programme also featured George Friedman, internationally recognised geopolitical strategist and founder of Geopolitical Futures and Stratfor, as well as Jadwiga Emilewicz of the Sobieski Institute, former Deputy Prime Minister of Poland.

A central element of the meeting was the presentation and discussion of the Sobieski Institute report, The Time of the Three Seas Initiative: Europe’s New Voice in the G20. The report argues that the Three Seas region, with approximately 120 million people and combined GDP exceeding €4 trillion, has developed into an increasingly important centre of European economic growth, industrial capacity and technological potential. It also identifies the international expansion of companies from the region as a key element of the next stage of Three Seas cooperation.

From regional cooperation to industrial partnerships

NFF President Natko Vlahovic participated in the closed-door business discussions focused on a practical question: how can Three Seas countries and their companies do more business together?

The discussion addressed the need to move the Three Seas economic agenda further toward concrete industrial partnerships, cross-border investment, joint projects, stronger regional supply chains and cooperation between companies from Three Seas countries.

Participants also discussed financing mechanisms that could support the next generation of strategic industrial projects in the region, including proposals for mobilising substantially greater private capital alongside institutional and public investment. One of the ideas discussed was the development of a new Three Seas investment vehicle capable of attracting private-equity capital to support industrial growth and cross-border investment.

“The Three Seas Initiative has built an important political and infrastructure framework over the past decade. The next step should be equally practical: helping our companies invest, produce, procure and enter new markets together. We need to turn regional cooperation into industrial partnerships and ultimately into business,” said Natko Vlahovic, President of the New Frontier Foundation.

This approach is closely aligned with NFF’s work on strengthening the business dimension of the Three Seas Initiative and developing practical industrial cooperation between companies from Central and Eastern Europe.

Continuing the industrial dialogue in Zagreb

The Warsaw discussion will feed directly into NFF’s Industrial Competitiveness Forum in Zagreb on 21 October 2026, where government officials, business leaders and international partners will address industrial competitiveness, energy production, defence and security, agriculture and food production, and digital infrastructure.

NFF will continue working with partners in Poland and across the Three Seas region to develop a more ambitious Three Seas industrial partnership agenda—focused not only on dialogue, but on identifying concrete projects, connecting companies and investors, developing cross-border industrial partnerships and creating new business opportunities across the region.

The Warsaw meeting represents another step in NFF’s broader effort to strengthen Croatian-Polish business relations and practical industrial cooperation within the Three Seas Initiative.
