The New Frontier Foundation, an independent Croatian pro-business think tank, in strategic partnership with the U.S. LNG Association is organizing a high-level conference focused on the critical nexus of U.S. LNG exports and the enhancement of energy security across Central and Eastern Europe, titled “U.S. LNG Exports and Energy Security of Central and Eastern Europe”, it provides an exclusive platform for in-depth analysis and strategic discourse on key transatlantic energy policy imperatives.

The conference will focus on geopolitical considerations for industry and policy makers for expanded trade and faster development of interconnections, with the particular emphasis on the region of Central Eastern Europe (CEE). It will explore the potential for U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) to supply and meet CEE’s energy demands. The event will take place from 26 – 28 March 2025 in Croatia – in Zagreb and on the island of Krk, where Croatian LNG Terminal is located.

Key discussion areas will encompass:

• Optimizing U.S. LNG Trade Dynamics: Examining the impact of tariffs, licensing protocols, and economic sanctions on LNG trade flows, and identifying strategies for enhanced market access and regulatory efficiency.

• Accelerating Regional Energy Infrastructure Development: Addressing the imperative for rapid expansion of oil and gas infrastructure and the expedited implementation of critical interconnection projects to bolster regional energy resilience.

• Advancing the Krk LNG Import Terminal as a Strategic Asset: Evaluating opportunities for accelerated development and strategic investment to maximize the terminal’s contribution to regional diversification and security of supply.

• Exclusive session: Leveraging AI for Advanced LNG Industry Intelligence – Exploring the application of artificial intelligence to enhance business intelligence, optimize operational efficiency, and drive strategic decision-making within the LNG sector.

Without accessible and competitive energy, economic prosperity is unattainable. Energy is the backbone of industrial development, technological progress, and overall societal well-being. It fuels production, enables innovation, and drives economic growth. Nations that fail to secure stable and affordable energy sources risk stagnation, economic instability, and diminished global competitiveness. There is no such thing as low energy rich country. Therefore, energy must be a top national priority, not only for sustaining economic development but also for ensuring national security and geopolitical stability. Dependence on external energy sources can make a country vulnerable to supply disruptions, price volatility, and political pressure, as has been demonstrated in Europe in recent years. This event serves as a significant precursor to the Three Seas Initiative Business Summit (3SI) in Warsaw, with invitations extended to all 3SI Ambassadors. Participation is by invitation only.
